Correct flash hider for SCAR 16s?

What is the correct AAC flash hider/suppressor mount for the SCAR?

That would depend on the type of suppressor you're going to mount. An M4-1000, M4-2000, and a SCAR SD all take different flash hiders, because they have different methods of attaching.

In a conversation with Mike from Advanced Armament two or three months ago, we touched on this very topic. He said that although the 51-tooth Blackout is for the most recent M4-2000 suppressor, they were still outfitting the military's SCARS with the 18-tooth Blackout for the M4-1000 suppressor per the military's instruction. You can see the 18-tooth Blackout on the MK-16 in the ARFCOM thread pic by the soldier just issued the MK-16/MK-17 pair.

Earlier editions had the 18-tooth Phantom for the M4-1000 suppressor (this is the one I have and prefer...thanks again MGP )

I was under the impression that the SCAR was issued with a SCAR SD suppressor. The M4-2000 is better but because the military takes so long on acquiring new equipment it inevitably lags behind at times. Oh well, that's the military for you.

Does socom still use the knights suppressor? If so could the kinghts qd flash hider be a option?

I think anything that'll work on an M4 will work on the SCAR.

The SCAR has the same thread pattern on the barrels as an AR-15/M4. Any kind of flashhider you can put on those will work for the SCAR too. As long as its threaded the same.

I'm planning on mounting an M4-2000 suppressor on the SCAR when I can finally get one. Already got the suppressor... : (
