This is a dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. If the AWB comes back more or less as before (granted thats a big if) before the SCAR-H comes out, my understanding is FN could release something close - but mags would be capped at 10 rounds.
So, if this is correct, is it known what the magazine style will be? I'd be willing to buy a few now "just in case". I have no 7.62s in my collection so I'm not sure of the various standards.
FAL metric pattern magazines are what appear to be the feeding device of choice in the SCAR-H rifle.

I've heard they are proprietary or modified FAL mags, not sure if that's true though.

Different feed lips & follower. Jury's out on whether or not a FAL mag can be modified to work. Don't hold your breath.
And I believe IF that all were to happen, that any modified FAL mag would also be required to STILL work in a FAL. I believe that was the deal with when they had to modify M1A1 mags to work in ban era AR10 rifles.
Let's just do our parts to make sure another ban doesn't go into place!![]()
I heard a rumor that they are going to be the same mags as in teh FNAR. God I hope so. Super Cheap mags for all.
Is that sarcasm? Aren't those mags like $70+?Originally Posted by BigBump
I hope that they are a special mag based on the Fals bulletproof design. I have had more than enough problems with DPMS and Cproducts ar10 style mags in short they suck, they misfeed stick tilt u name it. I have had to go to SR25s for my piston drive 7.62s with any sort of match ammo. Im hoping Pof resolves this problem with thier new ar10 style mag since it doesnt cost $120 a mag. Or magpuls new 7.62 if that isnt vaporware...
The first of Magpul's 7.62mm PMags are hitting the market, as we speak.
I hope so...Ill keep my eyes open. I talked to them last week and they said they had no idea they were still in testing.
