As always, there's tons of speculation. Shot Show is coming up and I bet we'll be able to get a much better picture on when the release date may be. I'm sure the FN reps there will be able to answer a lot of questions too. The LWRC Repr wasn't ridiculously price gouged and didn't command extreme premium prices when first released like the SCAR 16S did. Let's hope the 17S won't. I am just guessing, but I suspect that people will NOT be paying $8000 for a SCAR 17S when they first come out. I don't think they will sell for too much north of $4000. When and if they become a readily available item, I don't think any more than $3500.
I'll bet motorboy pays $9000.00 for his!

I would like to have one of the scar 17's, but I'm not going to pre order and pay an inflated price. I plan to wait until prices level off to buy one. I hope they are released soon however.
Is the release date available yet?
Might be hearing more about this soon..![]()

Maybe it folds to the left? - To allow firing while collapsed, looks like it would cover the ejection port so the hinge might simply be reversed.. (don't know what it would latch on to though.)Originally Posted by djv38
Anyways, the latest from Soldier Systems:
Surefire’s SF762SV suppressor has been selected by FNH as part of the SCAR Mk17 Sniper Support Rifle system.
The photo above differs slightly from the actual system which will be fielded as FNH has selected a NightForce scope.
Could be. Looks like a heavy barrel as well. Nice looking set-up.
