Maybe in the future. There would have to be a conversion made (at minimum to the bolt or a different barrel). If SOCOM wants it, FN will make it, but I haven't heard anything about that in probably 2+ years.

That stinks, I thought the whole point was being able to take ammo from fallen foes just in case there were extended periods where you were cut off from resupply. It's a brilliant idea and shame it was abandoned. I don't know the difficulties from FN's standpoint or if it was dropped by SOCOM but either way it was a selling point in my mind.

It could still happen, but I think they want to get the 5.56 and 7.62 version wrung out before they move to conversions and the like (makes sense for SOCOM and FN-less logistics involved).
