I like using magazines designed for the rifle by the manufacturer.
Many people do not want to have different mags for a common caliber between weapons. One mag working with a few rifles, saves money.

    Maybe you should.

Then again "maybe" is on par with "many people", not all people. That's what's great - life is full of choices and not everyone chooses the same thing, just as your optic choices on your rifles suit your needs and would suck for other SCAR owners based on their operational requirements just as single stage light triggers aren't everyone's first choice on semi-auto rifles.

From a logistics as well as a storage perspective this makes perfect sense.

The fit was very tight, after a quick "break in" period I didn't have any issues with them. I asked myself why I went through the trouble when I couldve just sold my mags and got FN mags. FN put a lot of work into making the Scar platform one, if not the most reliable tactical rifles on the market today. Why mess with it? The way I look at it, the further you deviate from the original design the more you open yourself up to possible issues. It was a PITA, but I switched them both back out to the stock setup and couldn't be happier.
Interesting response and rationale. I chose to keep my factory lower and run factory mags as well, and have no regrets about it. For me, it was mostly more about the cost of a Handle Defense lower, but your same logic was in the back of my mind as well. As they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
