SCAR 17S Coming in April

I stopped by my friendly neighborhood gum emporium, who happens to be a fairly high volume FN dealer, to check on the status of SCAR 17S deliveries. I spoke with the store's manager (cool guy) who keeps track of incoming orders (he was dutifully stocking the shelves while we talked). Told him I was wanting to know "when the SCARZILLA is coming in?" and he surprised me by saying "April" -- oh hell yeah...!

Confirmed I was in their system as wanting one, and asked if he wanted a deposit, and he said he didn't need it (I buy a lot of guns there) so it looks like it is about to be time to go lock and load then rock and roll in the sunshine of the springtime!!

Makes a man want to get up early and go to work in the morning...get me some more gun money! WOOPOW!!

Johns, I am glad you appreciate good-natured sarcasm - that is why I choose the phrase. No strawberry flavored gum, but they do sell sodas.

I wonder if my local FN dealer will be selling the 17s (unlike the 16s which they say is illegal here, but other places are selling them )

Just put a down payment on my 17s. Only thing i'm worried about is how long it took them to get the 16s in last time compared to other dealers. I finally broke down and bought one from another dealer because the store i prefer to go to didn't know when they would be getting them. Have any of you heard if there is an order of preference in delivery? is one store better than another if their both FN stocking dealers? also, what prices are you all hearing for the 17s? I put $250 down on a $2749 final price. I though this was good considering how much the 16s was inflated for the first few months, and even when i bought mine i paid 2999 plus tax.

From what I understand, there are different 'tier's' of FN dealer's (at least according to the FN dealer near me), hence some would get first dibs if you will on the newest guns. My dealer is a tier 3 dealer and in regards to the FNX, they would be one of the first dealer's to get the guns. Not sure if they'll be getting any 17s' though.

$2750 for the 17s seems fair to me (especially for the initial batch).

Of course I will, along with the 10" SCAR 16 we have coming. I also have a P90 on the way.
