How do these prevent the upper receiver damage some are claiming the longer barrels cause on the 17s? Serious question, I have a deadshot 20" custom job on order with slightly thicker barrel profile and straight fluting...

Considering the entire FN OEM LB is engineered by FN's accredited and experienced engineers who designed the entire SCAR weapon family, I'm of the opinion the FN OEM barrel will not cause stress fractures to the 17S upper receiver.

think I would have to agree^^^^ this is not coming straight from manual's backyard engineering shack!
    Smurky and Szange01 thanked this.

Does anyone have experience with one of these? The barrel is still 1 in 12" twist and the specs say it's effective out to 900m. Just wondering how much of a difference it is compared to the 16".

considering today is the first day they are out; I would say no one has any experience as of yet.
