    FN SSR Adjustable Stock

I hope the adjustable stock on the SSR will be available at some time as a separate item. It is similar to a HK PSG1 stock. And, maybe, the price will not be as pricey as the PSG1 stock. It looks really good.

The strange receiver upper rail on the MK-20 looks kind of neat as well. Did I see KAC sights on it in some of the photos?

Got a link to a picture? The reason I ask, is the SSR doesn't have a rail visible on the exterior of the weapon that I'm aware of. Could it be the HAMR you're referring to?

This one isn't an SSR correct? I've seen that here. But I've heard this called a MK-20, or a PR.

Actually that is FN's version of the DMR [dedicated marksmen rifle] and not the SSR.

You'll find the HAMR and the SSR in the following link:
    http://www.fnhusa.com/mil/products/f...G020&cid=FNC01

The HAMR photo is incorrect. click on the photo of the SSR and it will open to reveal the HAMR.

    Thank You Sir!

    That HAMR is funky!

It reminds me of another system that reduces wear, and heat, and dependabilty by switching operational method.

Shit! It's like those ol' Cadillac engines that are smart enough to go from 8 cyls, to 6 when cruising. LOL

    You're welcome.

I edited my post for a correction on the initial HAMR photo in the link. Just click on the SSR image and it will open the HAMR image for a better view.

The HAMR was FN's submission to the Marine's IAR request (FN had it labeled as the IAR but changed the name since they didn't win that particular contract).

Notice the bar on the side for the auto closed bolt to open bolt feature.
