SCAR PICS AND VIDEO
The Latest and Greatest in TactiCool gear won't save you, but what's wrong with Surviving in Style?
Bad news....a little birdie told me that there won't be any Tango Scar 17 mags coming down the pipe in the foreseeable future. This is a pretty credible source...I'm really bum'd out.![]()

Hey Guys, OK, we have a 25 round ARC 7.62 magazine and matching trigger module ready to produce. When we decide to OK production, the trigger module will be sold stripped, you just transfer your OEM fire control, etc into our trigger module. The magazines are polymer, modular like our 5.56 magazines, so many other capacities will be available over time. The TD trigger module will NOT be compatible with the MK 18 launcher. FN has a large quantity of OEM 20 round magazines inbound very soon, so we are not in a hurry to produce the ARC H magazine until more guns are in country. Sorry, but it makes no economic sense for us to do so until then.
Why can't you just scrap the module and make a mag that works with the factory FN one? It's kind of a pain for the end user. You guys didn't create a proprietary module when you made the ARC mag in 5.56? I'm sure that we will all appreciate any Scar products that Tango produces. However, after we switch modules over, then we are pigeon holed into using one type/brand of mag. Or will the module accept FN OEM mags as well? It's just me .02 cents but I really appreciate the update.
I really hope you are right about FN having a bunch inbound. Seeing that the Military just increased their demand for 17's I'm still nervous about them getting here.
And it's dissappointing that you've decided not to go into production. We really need a second source of SCAR 17 mags that work. I don't know how many you need to sell to recover your startup costs but I noted that 700 FN's sold through the supplier on the thread listed here in just a couple days. Makes one think that it wouldn't take all that long for you to be well into the black if you brought them to market.........................dj

And also whether it was good news or not I do VERY much appreciate TANGO-DOWN making a direct response to us here on this forum. Thank you for responding...............................dj

At exactly what point does it make economic sense? There seems to be about 7500 to 8000 Scar 17s in the USA for civi and LE. I'm sure the number should grow, since there are probably loads of people on waiting lists. Most owners want 5 to 10 mags at least. It would also be great to have a TD module that will handle 25 round mags. I'm sure that the Military and LE owners will also be interested in these upgrades. So the question remains, at what point is it economically reasonable to start production? 15k, 20k? 50k? What is your estimate on how long it will take to reach this level?
I also would buy 10
