There is no question the FN piston system rifles do not need to be cleaned often at all. This does not mean that you should not clean them. There is no question about cleaner IS better. I am lazy and dont clean mine every time I shoot. That is because I just dont. If you have the time and ambition you are only better off to clean them every time you shoot. If at least they are guaranteed to function 100 percent when you take them out to shoot. The other side is you do a detailed cleaning, and find something loose or worse broken. You have then avoided a real potential problem, that could actually blow up in your face. Better to be safe than sorry. Better to be sure of your equipment than not.
