I am currently running a Leupold MK4 TMR Reticle, the same scope I had on my M21 in Iraq, its great and has last me many hard years of abuse. It has a BDC Turret for M118 on it and is pretty close.
I have recently purchased a The Pride-Fowler RR800-1 "Rapid Reticle scope with the PFI ballistic reticle with windage marks out to 10 mph. The system is said to be extremely accurate with quick target engagement the scope was said to be combat tested by 10th MTN; advantage is it has a FFP reticle with 800M reticle, they make one in 600 as well, I ordered mine from Midway usa for 629.00,.

Now I am traditionally a turret guy, I have hunted with the Shepherd scope with great success, I am going to be interested in the out come of this scope.
here is info on the Reticle ballistics match

fm,
In looking at the V numbers, I think they're a bit generous for the carbine. You'll know what to do if that's the case. Interested in your feedback when you get the chance to run it. Mount (ring) choice with this one?

What power range is it?

My brain is confused. Let's say you have that reticle, zero'd at 400 shooting a 400-yd target (actual zero, not some mirror zero)...
The bullet is going up for some portion of the time on the way through 100m, 200m, 300m and is falling as it hits 400m.
Shouldn't the 200m marker be above the 100/300 markers? My ballistic calculator shows 100m = 7.3" high, 200 = 12.64" high, 300 = 10.9" high ... for a 400m zero.
I think that means the markings, top to bottom, should read 200 -> 300 -> 100 -> 400 -> 500 -> etc.
Where is my intuition (and ballistic calculator) wrong?

Okay, thought about it a bit more, and think I understand my error.
7.3" @100 is 7.3 MOA
12.64" @200 is 6.3 MOA
10.9" @300 is 3.6 MOA
etc. which monotonically decrease... nevermind!
Update
I took these photos today
My leupold Mk4 3x9
and the PFI 3x9
to my eyes they are almost Identical, good glass for the price.
I mounted it on my 6.5x55 antelope rifle for testing before I decide to toss it on my SCAR, I run 140 Grain bullets out of it so I will give it a test drive

fm,
From the pix you took, the glass clarity looks the same to me. When do you plan on running it through its paces and at what range(s)? I'm interested in your findings.

when weather gives me a break its 7 degrees currently, will go out to 400 yards first then 975 is the farthest I have here
