question about corrosive ammo & bore cleaning

I also have a M&P in 5.45 and just started shooting 7N6 corrosive in it. When I get home I split upper and lower......pump Windex with ammonia D down the bore from the chamber end then come back a few minutes later and run hot water down the bore. The bolt/BCG are much more of a hassle as it gets EXTREMELY sooty and hard to clean all the tough spots. The big trouble spot seems to be the channel that the firing pin rides in.

Get some Kano Kroil. It will remove any stubborn residue from anything. The stuff is amazing. Just let it soak in for about 5-10 minutes.

When I shoot corrosive ammo I simply use Windex (with ammonia) for the initial cleaning then a normal cleaning with whatever bore cleaner I have on hand.

Just curious, what ammo are you shooting through your SCAR that is corrosive? All USGI 7.62 ammo is non-corrosive with the exception of FA-56 International Match.

Yes it is, and it has some hard primers. I had 5 or so failure to fires out of 20 boxes.
