Get a small rod that will fit through the firing pin hole, from the bolt face, and push it back out.

Try compressed air and a blow gun, solves a bunch of problems.
Works killer on a black powder load gone bad, in a sealed type breach format. If it can clear that, it should remedy your patch issue quite nicely.
If you do not have a compressor and such, you might get lucky with air in a can, the one used for cleaning elctronics, or your shop vac on reverse.

Light it on fire... This could work really well or be a very bad idea... if its the former, i take full credit

That was the first thought I had, but desided not to type that.

Would be my last resort though.

Another idea, take a small pin, bend the tip to make a tiny hook, and dig in, pull it out with pliers.

i got it out using a small screw driver to push/twist the patch out. not as clever (or fun) as lighting stuff on fire, but i just couldn't bring myself to lighting my gun on fire

that's the las time i'll be jamming patches inside things. PITA!!!!

thanks for all the clever suggestions

I'm glad you got your dilemma sorted out.

Something like this, Otis Technology might help you in the future.

I really want to pick this kit up, and possibly one of the smaller kits for SHTF use.

    Hope this helps.

Glad to hear you got it out.

Spray cleaner will keep it clean.

    Don't do that again.
