    Hk MR762A1 vs SCAR 17S

I was going to buy my third SCAR 17S but my local shop has one Hk MR762A1 and no SCAR17S Yet .

What do you all think ? should I buy my third 17S or the Hk ?

I did a little reserch "Hk MR762A1 vs SCAR 17S"

Hk is almost 10 Pounds & front heavy so it is not suitable for CQB
If Hk is sub MOA : it could be DMR
If HK is as accurat as SCAR ( 1.5 MOA ) I will just buy another 17s

What do you all think ? should I buy my third 17S or the Hk ?

Why do you want 3 SCAR 17?

I get the point of having more SCAR's - But you might want to diversify your gun portfolio
    - do you want this gun for CQB? If this is the case you might want to look into the MP-7
    - If what you want is to stay with the .308 platform, then get your class III license and get a FN SCAR 17 CQB

I held one the other day at ctd. I think most of the added weight is from the barrel. Still only a 16". I bet its pretty accurate. My sl8 could do half to 3/4 groups right outta the box all day long.

As far as I know, there is no civilian MP-7. I would recommend a PS90 over that anyway for so many reasons. Also, you don't need an FFL to get a short barrel rifle, you have to just file the NFA tax stamp.

As for the OP, I would check out some of the nice AR-10 style designs as well. Some of them are pretty accurate and cost a hell of a lot less than that HK. Unless the HK really gets you going I, personally, don't see any reason to shell out that much cash for it when there are similar designs for less.

If you want a DMR, I'd go with the SR25 EMR. I pick one up for that role, added the suppressor to and am very happy with it. Best group I have got with it has been .333, .340, and averages .5 MOA for me.

I looked at the H&K and didn't like the weight, being front heavy or that it runs expensive proprietary mags, I've had enough of that with the 17.
