No, you're right...the colors vary quite a bit. FN just took a box of crayons that were FDE'ish (including some OD greenish) and went to town. If I'm not mistaken, there also seems to be some color variance in the black ones too...from pictures some look like a true black whereas mine is what I would call a midnight blue. anyone?

Don't listen to the FDE guys! 'Evil Black' is better! All joking aside, I'd like to dip or cerakote my black 17 at some point in the future. I feel too common when every guy at the range has a black rifle. I want to add some distinction to mine.

Admitting in advance that there is a reason the world should not look to me for my art critic skills, looking closely I think (think) that mine is true black.

Well, on my one trip to the range I found that that factory muzzle brake helped set me apart from the others...good nellie, I would not want to be the guy in the stall right next to mine

yeah, its pretty trippy, you really dont feel it if you are the shooter, Its totally a different story if you are next to someone shooting a Scar 17s with stock brake. I swear I had some sort of brain injury from the blast LOL.

I also smacked some people good with flying brass, so I'm considering getting the brass catcher @ tactical brass recovery's website. Expensive, but it looks great!

Riiiiiight, because some day the world will end and you will have to make use of FDE over black to get better camo so that you won't be killed for your protein bars....

Did you just call me a dbag because I made light of your SCAR color choice? Wow, somebody has a manpole up their ass don't they? And by "they" I mean you.
