Well, if we could go in the "wayback" time machine to 1932, we could ask some legislators, but since we can't, you cannot buy a machine gun unless you file the proper paperwork and pay a $200 tax stamp to the ATF. Even then, since another law was passed in 1989 that disallows civilians to own machine guns manufactured after that date, you will have to buy an older machine gun. Sorry, them's the breaks.

OK.. so we know you can swear... thanks for that.
But can you read? The SCAR, having just recently been designed, is most definately going to be manufactured AFTER 1989, so therefore, you CAN'T buy one, no matter if you'd give them a dime or not. Sorry Charlie.

HAHAHAHAHA... OHHH this is about to get good.
It's called history. If you read it, you will know that what I've said is true. Perhaps you should try it, you might like it.
You can write your Congressman all you want, but they still won't sell you a fully automatic SCAR.
Back in the old days, when you could still buy a Thompson (pre 1932), $20 was equal to a few weeks worth of paychecks, that's called inflation, you can find that under economic studies when you get to college, ok.
I'm betting 12... any takers?

The machinegun ban date cutoff was May 19, 1986.

08-29-2009, 01:15 PM #9Yes, but what he was trying to refer was the NFA that was passed by Congress in 1934 that regulates the sale of NFA or C3 weapons, and the 86 ban. He had his dates mixed up on the NFA and the 86 law.
