So much powder is being burnt out of the barrel on a short barrel 5.56.

Look at the muzzle blast on a 20 in barreled 5.56 weapon!!! Ammo dependent btw.

My 7.5 inch AR SBR is a fire breather with PMC ammo.

I hate PMC because it has so much flash.

But the 5.56 NATO cartridge is better than the 5.7mm cartridge almost always.

And compatibility in ammo and magazines between a PDW and your other carbines/rifles would be a real plus.
    NO.

The only upside is ammo compatibility with it's bigger brothers. Fireball and concussion render it useless in CQB unless you have a muffler, hearing protection, and welding goggles.

The 5.7 is a longer bullet and will tumble - whereas the 5.56 will not.

At short distances, the 5.7 has the upper hand over a 7" 5.56 barrel.

    Still, I want one.

It's the wrong damned color! I guess after a trip to the cerekoter, it would be worthy...

i think they should melt it down and make 17s magazines with all the metal they've wasted in the design process

im sure they have a couple fde ones floating around

someone should start a poll on whether or not they would by a 5.7 or the pdw

While I think a p90(not ps90!!) has an advantage for close combat ballistics, ammo capacity, and recoil the PDW would sure be a sweet piece to have.

I'm going to assume LE only... not expecting semi auto versions.
