    My SCAR in the Desert

I just picked it up last night. I haven't even shot it yet.

This area is where I shoot. It's basically my back yard.

I picked up the sling from a sponsor here. Urban-E.R.T. It's a nice sling.

Great pictures, I love the background, you are lucky to have it so close.

    Nice

Looks like you could do some very long range shooting there

Definitely. The furthest that I have done is 0.5 miles (880 yards).

Shot it for the first time and sighted in my ACOG today at 100 yards.

With the stock folded, I was able to put it in a backpack:

    My last two targets:

Both times I had one flier. The four close shots were under 1", but with the outlier they were about 1.5".

This gun is not very comfortable to shoot prone. The ACOG smacked me in the head a few times due to the short eye relief. Standing it feels great though. It feels a lot different than an AR-15.

One other thing I noticed is that the ACOG red reticle is too bright to shoot at a little red target. I had to place the sling over the light collector to dim it and make the red center of the target more visible.

Walking to the target every 5 shots was a PITA! It took me three hours total. I'm happy with the zero for now.

Sounds like you need a good spotting scope

Nice pics and good shooting with the ACOG
