    Kalmar's SCAR

Well I finally got everything together and was able to hit the range.

I really like the way this gun shoots.

Simple set up with the Elcan DR, Surefire m600, and TD grip and rail covers.

Let me know what you think!

    I think it looks good!

Watch your left thumb. It's going to get cracked by the charging handle.

How did it shoot for you, and what ammo gave you the best accuracy?

Thanks! That photo is kinda odd... I'm using a more relaxed grip than usual when I do my 'Chris Costa' impression lol. Normally my thumb would be pointed forward around the rail cover. In either case the vertical stubby acts as a hand stop keeping my thumb from getting to far back. So far I had no problems running like that throughout the day.

Heh, I made an ammo run to 3 different stores before hitting the range and could only scrounge up six cases of 55gr UMC. Tried to at least get the sight dialed in at 50 and we got close enough. Had several groups with overlapping bullet holes so I can't complain. Always is a fun day at the range with a new toy.

    Nice

So... That setup looks like you have close to $4500 into it.

Is it me, is it the lighting, the upper and lower match in color?

    But the stock is lighter.

This SCAR is a LC 13XXX series... The new ones seem to come with a dark brown lower, light tan stock, and an almost olive drab looking receiver.

That's what it looks like to me. That lower looks quite brown.

    Cases or boxes?

    There is a big difference.
