    A few SCAR images...

    Howdy,

Finally picked it up today in the NEW plastic case.....FN should have stuck with the cardboard box! Of course what's inside is what I was really interested in.

I will be putting my Aimpoint Comp M4 on it this weekend.

Hotness, no picture of the plastic case?

Still patiently waiting for my 17S LB in black...

I think the plastic case was for the first 100 only, so don't worry, the cardboard box will be back

OK...here you go. The images do not provide much detail but I would put this at the same level as a ten buck retail Wal-Mart case. Very flimsy and probably not as touch as a double wall card board box. If it fell out of the back of your truck it would not doubt break. Had they allocated $20 wholesale dollars per unit on a bulk order of one hundred cases it might be something you would feel good about transporting the firearm with

    Case closed...has two latches.

    Case open with firearm.

Case open, firearm removed and egg crate foam removed.

I plan on putting it in a Pelican Case before too long.

    I hope that helps gents.....

    Beautiful weapon.

    Cheese case.

The case reminds me of the cheap cases the Sig 556's come in.

Thanks for taking the time to post-up the pix.

That's the thing that always amazed me about FN - they sell you a $2,000 + rifle and package it in a cardboard box or a crappy generic plastic case.

My $500+ Beretta Cx4 came with a nice custom molded plastic case designed to fit the Cx4 - and is still usable even after you add a scope to the Beretta

haha agreed with the cases... For these prices a Pelican case wouldn't be to much to ask for. Nice rifle though!

When you think about it FN themselves would be very well served to peruse this forum and glean information about a subset of their consumer base that is inclined towards their products. I have enjoyed this forum and find that there are many like myself who grew up in rural America playing outside and enjoying firearms since childhood. Now we are adults and dedicate much of our time and financial resources to our interest in firearms.

When you consider FN's wholesale buying power they could easily pass along "accessories" such as quality cases at a reasonable bundled price to those who purchase their firearms. I gather I am much like many of you and believe the devil really is in the details. There is also the issue of brand loyalty.......the fact of the matter is a private label case or other items would more than likely increase the perceived value of their products and would serve both them and the consumer well.

    My two cents....
