    --fn 509-- striker fired 9mm

This is not the fns--, but something new? I didn't know where to post this so here it is. Developed for the army's multi million dollar contract for a new modular hand gun.
Came across this short review about the fn 509. According to the article-- fn tested it with over 1m rounds- and the author put 1000 rounds through it dry without a hick-up.

I'm wondering what the difference between this and the FNS is? I mean they already had polymer striker fired pistol with night sights. So why make a new one for military trials?

Wonder if the trigger is any better than the FNS? If it is, Im all in on purchasing one. Which I'm sure would be easier to find than the CZ P10.

I love FN products but hate their triggers. Maybe this would have a smoother crisper trigger.

Looks like the mags are different than the FNS, at least the base plates anyway.

I just read a bunch of the reviews... seems like better trigger, low recoil, and anything that should have been upgraded on the rest of the plastic striker guns, was for this pistol. Soon as I find one, im going to give it a shot!

Doesn't make since from a business stand point. Maybe call it a fns G2 and drop the fns line. I don't understand why they didn't spend the money and build a true modular hg.

I suspect it's because handguns aren't their main interest or money-maker. The bulk of their military weapon sales are for larger guns -- and the US military, alone, uses a LOT of those weapons.
