    509c

The 509 has just been released but I'm already looking forward to a 509C. With CC handguns being big money for the mfrs FN should have a smaller version at least on the drawing board. How long could it be before we see a compact or sub-compact version?

Just called FN and asked and their answer was "we can't divulge any info" but he did say "they are working on some other versions/models".

509 was designed for a military contract they did not win. I suspect the amount of R&D dollars they are willing to put into a version that would not be all that much different than the FNS-c, would be pretty minimal unless there is a large contract it could compete for. The motivation to redesign the FNS for the possibility of a $500+ million contract made business sense. Spending the same in hopes of selling a few thousand in civilian sales does not make much business sense.
