NEW FNAR owner

You know FN makes a 16" FNAR correct? I feel that that would be a better option if you want a shorter barrel to get threaded for flash suppressor and can.

At the time the 20" was on sale for $1250 vs the $1500 for the 16". My smith charges the same for a cut and thread as he does for just a thread. Figured i would save the cash and just get the 20"

Nice setup. I was thinking of a brake as well but it comes with a crown match cut barrel so I'm leaving it alone seeing it shoots so friggin straight out of the box!!!!!

Yeah i would def lose some accuracy with a brake im afraid. I MAYYYY decide to skip the cut and break pending on how softly it shoots with the 110grain Hornday TAP. But part of the reason i was cutting was so that it would balance alittle nicer when shouldering(the fnar isnt specifically heavy, but it is barrel heavy, a few ounce off of the nose wouldnt hurt a thing).

No, a little weight off the end wouldn't hurt at all. Maybe who ever cuts it can crown match the end again as well.
