After thought... After writing the above guide on how not to overspend on a gun, I gotta say, Poor Planning on your part is really what got you in this mess. Besides food, I never pay Retail/MSRP on anything. Next time please ask questions on here first. If you had, you would have learned that $950 to $1000 is the going price![]()

You see in this world there's two kinds of people my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig?
If it's any consolation, the FNARs are back up to their pre-end of year drop price. For me to buy a new one now it's back to $1295 dealer price.
As a quick heads up, the PS90 tri-rails have been discontinued this year, so if you are on the fence for one, hold out a bit as I'm sure we'll see CDNN selling them around the $1350 range in a bit.

Your advice and guidance on how to shop for the best deal and simulateneously best insulate yourself from losing your tail on resale was most helpfulout of
bullets.
Your afterthought however was a bit over the top, Heck a year ago the prices had never been dropped on the FN/AR and there was no writing on the wall to indicate a big price cut was in the works so how was a guy to know this? Point being due diligence and buying smart are only good for the time period in which the purchase was made.
This much is for certain though, if the guy wants to know what a knee to the ballz feels like after already having been punched in the gut, well he could come on this site first and ask you for some insight

Fair enoughbut I snagged mine about 2 years ago for Under a grand on GB from a guy out of Lasvegas
deals are always out there if you keep your eyes open. I also snagged a FS2000 for $1200 on here from a guy who won it his local gunshop raffle, That was back when the lowest prices where $2000. 4 people were had a chance to snag it before me, but didn't "pull the trigger".
PS, Thanks AA for the heads up![]()

I don't want to completely hijack the thread, but yes FN is sticking to just the standard model. Why, I don't know, other than they figure they can make more money off their online store now selling you the optics aftermarket. From a marketing standpoint you put the gun in someones hand cheap, and then they can spend the big bucks to accessorize it where the accessories bring a higher margin. Think of Gillet with all their free razors. They will give you a free $20 razor, but you'll pay an arse load for each replacement blade.
Anyhow, I should have two OD green PS90 Tri-rails in next week. Price isn't quite down to $1350 yet, but I'll ship them to anyone here for $1400. Save me the listing fees of throwing them up on gunbroker.

Most any gun you by at some point could be viewed as a bad investment. If your mad do what you've got to do but remember that FN makes some of the finest weapons out there...
I could care or less about resale value!! Of course, I do my homework on my guns b4 I buy them too!! Once bought, they stay in my collection!! I buy my guns to shoot-not swap n deal!! But everyone is different!! But my Fn's shoot true n straight!!! So if ya giving em away-I'll take em!! lol
