What led to the development of the black sight and it ultimately replacing the white version?
The Secret Service wanted a black reticule because all the buildings in DC are white. They also wanted a aluminum body. The white reticule can about because it works better in the overcast light conditions in Europe.

FN promotions(C-More and FNP Shooters Pack) require a copy BATFE form 4473, what if someone can not get a copy of this form for any of your promotions? Can they still get the promotion?
Yes, we need a receipt from the dealer.

I have no idea. That market is handled from BELGIUM.
I have read in an interview with I think was a a Brazilian defence website with one of the senior managers of FN in Herstal (I think it was a Steven Descamps or someting) a year or two years ago that the SCAR would not be offered outside the US, at the moment, not even to military or police and that focus was on selling the F2000. Seems hard to believe since both rifles are so different. I have seen no pics of the SCAR in trade shows outside the US, no info on the SCAR on the international site either.

No maybe the position of FN will change once the weapon is in use. It seems strange to sell them to US civilians and not to other armies.

Update. I have found the interview. Important are the words "at the moment."

D@N - With the manufacture of two modern metal rings of assault of modular concept (FN SCAR and F2000), it does not have overlapping of efforts in this already competitive market?

Descamps - FN SCAR is a specific product for a specific customer, in the case, the Command of Special Forces of U.S.A. (SOCOM). It is a developed, co-ordinated product and executed for the matrix of the FN Herstal, in Belgium, taking care of to the requirements of the user, being currently in tests of field for the final users, waiting a definition of the same ones how much to the final configuration to be adored. Valley to detach that the US Marine Corps started to integrate the evaluation team, in the quality of observers, data the interest whom they possess in the project.

The product of the FN Herstal in the category assault metal ring is the F2000. It is the project most modern, multipurpose and efficient of this category of weapons currently in production, having already conquered important vendas. It does not have, at the moment, the intention to supply FN SCAR the international market, has seen to be a projected weapon to take care of a specific requirement, elaborated for one determined customer.
