They would have to run a pretty big ball, or bottoming end mill in that rail to clear the view of the rear sight.

I've seen less practical things on guns though. So I shouldn't be too critical, I guess.

If I look at it close enough, the rear sight does look like it would clear the rail (by a few millimeters at least). I think those are designed as an emergency back-up anyway (as the rail would indicate)

I think the shotgun is a great weapon.

now all they need is to offer a pistol grip, and a commercial model that comes nickle plated.

    (hey I could do that)
One can only hope that great things can come from not so great circumstances.

Now to adjust my diet to contain nothing but water and ramen noodles, and I should have enough to pick on up in a few years.

NOW that's what I would call a very determined man!

I'll send you a 'care package' of Omaha Steaks in about a month. By that time you'll be craving red meat like this:

I am in the same boat. But my wife allows me to buy one gun a year, does not include my trades or guns i bought from selling other guns. That FN shotgun looks good but i got the Mossberg 930SPX, it was a little cheaper and a great shotgun.
