NRA adds FN 5.7x28mm caliber firearms to Police Competitions

    to Tactical Police Competition standards

(McLean, Va.) May 14, 2009. Recently, the NRA Law Enforcement Activities Division modified its Tactical Police Competition standards to include 5.7 caliber firearms.

Now, law enforcement agencies using the FN Five-seveN, PS 90, or P90 can compete in this kind of NRA sponsored event with those weapons. “This addition to the standards allows for more diversity in the competition,” said Barbara Sadowy Bailey, director of marketing for FNH USA.

    Checked on the rules.

Even though the ps90 is designed and sold with a 50rd magazine. TPC events are limited to 30rds.

Pistol is allowed and required to be fully loaded.

Also the 1x factory optic is required to be in the tactical division instead of the patrol division. So the 1x factory optic will be in the class as electronic optics with magnfiers.

Most PS90's are sold and shipped with a 30 round mag. The 50 is optional equipment.

The 30rd factory is just a blocked 50rd.

The event is "shoot what you carry" ?? Why would I load and carry 20 less rounds? I see the reason to limit 100 rd beta mags in the ar, since nobody would carry on duty such loads.
