The Safariland is not leather, but "looks like leather". That said, if fits the FNP 45 just fine and for an OWB it is a very good buy. Very comfortable and holds the weapon securely yet allows quick access. Probably not good for LEO, but civilian it's just fine.

well I can say holsters companies arent gonna make product if theres no market. The market is based on popularity and inquiry for a product. They have to be confident they will make money between engineering and making a new mold the equipment is not cheap to conceive a new model of product it would probably cost a company in the neighborhood of $60,000 to create the new line. If they figure they are only gonna make a $40,000 turnaround then you can see they will wind up 20k in the hole thats good for a company thats out to make money. I personally like the blackhawk serpa holster if you do too I suggest you take this email address cs@blackhawk.com
and inquire about a FNP holster and everyone else you know that wants a serpa FNP holster have them send and email too I bet if blackhawk gets a 1000 emails about it over the next couple months they will probably get moving on making us a holster.
Raven Concealment just got their FNP-9 and FNX 9/40 holster's listed. Wait is around 4 months at the moment. I ordered one, so it should be here end of May early June.

I read a rumor somewhere that Blackhawk Serpa for the XD would fit the FN FNP 45 so I had to try it out. It does, but it is very snug and there is just about zero clearance for the front sight. If a magazine were inserted sideways and then the holster were hit with a hair dryer, it might work better, but the front sight would still bother me. The BladeTech fits like a glove and is much easier to draw from. Both will fit the FNP with optical sights.

I placed an order last week for the slide guard model, for my FNP45.
Gonna be a long wait, 10-12 weeks. Hopefully its worth it. Online reviews look promising!
I too will not pay that much for a piece of plastic. I bought a blackhawk serpa for the H & K P30 that fits my FNP 40 PERFECTLY. $34 retail. Gotta love it.
