Three Eye, are you using one of the included mounting plates between the RMR and the slide? If not that's your problem. The mounting plate has two pins that go into the RMR and two pins that go into the slide.
yes and your RMR screws should have blue Locktite already on them...it may however be gone if you have taken the sight on and off a few times...

I purchased the Docter Sight II 3.5MOA optic... and I am sorry I did. The LED works great, all light conditions.. and it does seem to auto-dim which is nice. BUT, and for me it's a big BUT..
I have a terrible astigmatism, and I didn't think about that. I can't use the dot with my glasses, which correct it, and blow the dot to a scattered light due to the distance, and I can't see the iron sights at all without my glasses... and my shooting glasses are Wycott prescription glasses. So I am double F-D up.
I am going to sell it, and get the RMR 7MOA dual illumination trijicon from Botach. I am thinking the non-LED source will be less prone to astigmatism.
My advice is even though you can get a doctor for 250.00, don't do it if you have an astigmatism. Get the RMR dual illumination dot first time out.
Mike,
I own both the Trijicon LEDand the dual illumination. My opinion is that the LED hands down puts a boot up the backside of the dual illuminated.
Even the worst cases of astigmatisms can be corrected today. LASIK Astigmatism Correction | King LASIK Laser Eye Surgery. I would get my vision fixed. Even the worst cases of astigmatism can be corrected today.

might also look at the LED RM07 where you can turn down the brightness of the red dot...helps some for those with astigmatism (I have a slight astigmatism) and I prefer the 6.5 mil dot of the RM07 over my 8 mil RM02...
