I'd like to carry my FNP-45 on duty as a cop, but nobody makes duty worthy holsters for it. My personal preference on holsters is a Safariland 6280 roll top holster with a light attached to the gun. Obviously Safariland doesn't make a holster for this combo and neither does anybody else. I'm also forced to have a basketweave holster, so all these kydex ones aren't acceptable.
I know from personal experience that even though the holster is built for one gun, it will fit others.
So has anyone played around with what other holsters from Safariland fit an FNP-45? Maybe an H&K 45 holster or M&P 45? Are the slides about the same width with trigger guards in the same area? I'd like to see if any of those will fit this gun.
I'm wondering if a G21 holster would fit it with the light...
Might be worth a try (see if a gun shop has a G21 holster w/light)

I know a Glock 22 holster with light won't work. I'd like people to share experience instead of speculation.
So a few failure updates for those who are looking into this like I am. I only buy Safariland holsters for duty use as I find them to be the only one's I trust my life on.
Safariland holster for M&P 45 w/x300 light holster is a no go.
Safariland holster for Glock 21 with M3 light holster is a no go but close.
I'm working on getting a holster for the Glock 21 with M6 light (light/laser combo) that I have a strong feeling will work. I'll update more when I can.
So the one that worked for those are interested is for the Glock 21 with M6 light/laser.
It's model 6280-38321 or 6004-38321. The first is the belt holster and the second is thigh holster. With a little modification you can make it fit the red dot on top. Fits pretty good with a few small issues.
With the hammer on the de-cocked position you can close the hood but nto really open it effectively. With the hammer all the way back you can close the hood but it flexes a little and isn't quite how it's meant to be from the factory. But it works. So if you're going to carry this one really the only option is cocked and locked.

A similar alternative is the BladeTech WRS holster, although they dont list it on their website, they do have molds for a FNP-45 and a Surefire x300/400. Probably other lights as well. Doesnt have the fancy suede like the Safariland though.
But they don't make it in Basketweave so it's a no go as a duty holster for me. They might make a similar version to the one I modified but in no way is it as good quality as Safariland. I like some Bladetech stuff but side by side with Safariland they're cheap.
My duty carry is a HK. Usp. 40 full size. With a tlr1 on a surefire light mount. The holster is a safariland holster. My fnp. 45 Tactical fits snug in it.its not as perfect but it does fit and I'm confident it can't be pried out. Nor can the trigger be reached while holstered.
Wow really very nice post herer...!
