OK... the tax stamp is $200, if I'm not mistaken.
What am I looking at, pricewise, to pick up a suppressor (for my FNP-45T)? If you can provide brand, model, and price comparisons, that would be great! Thanks!![]()
Cheap end, $500, more expensive, $800-900 (AAC Ti-Rant, Silencerco Osprey)

The Osprey is on my wish list.
FNP-45 Tactical / Dressed in black
Can anybody contrast and compare the big players in this area? Osprey vs. AAC vs. Gemtech vs ???
AAC and the Osprey are going to get you about the same thing in decibel reduction and being hearing safe without using a liquid in the can.
The AAC unit is circular and therefore probably won't work with standard holsters with the bottom cut off, and is taller on the top, somewhat obscuring the sights. The Osprey likely could be used with a holster with an open bottom and the top is lower, so the 45 Tacticals sights easily clears it.

I own a 45 tac and have an osprey......
IT IS BAD TO THE BONE!!!!!
I love it....
Thats my vote.
They just bought SWR an are not going anywhere. As a matter of fact the rifle can they have coming out is from wha I here going to be unreal.
The Ti-rant is better to me. Not sure what they both meter, but I happen to own both a ti-rant and an osprey in .45 and the ti-rant is the quieter of the two. Get them wet, and the tirant really shines. The osprey looks better though, but all my other cans are round anyways, so what does it matter.
I rock the osprey on my FNP tactical, and tirant on my USP compact tactical. Also my Evolution 9mm can on my USP SD.
Also after tax and transfer, they will each set you back about 1k.
You can never have too many guns....
If you decide on the Ti-rant, you should know that if you are only going to use it on the FNP 45 Tactical, AAC now has a special short piston that works on the 45 Tactical. I have both the standard piston and the short piston. The short piston is about 1/4" (+ or -) shorter. When I ordered my Ti-rant it came with the standard length piston. While waiting for the Stamp (still waiting) the short piston was released. When I get the Stamp I will take pictures with both for comparison.

Didn't see YHM Cobra mentioned. Great value for the price, that's on my wish list, hopefully this year. It retails for $500 and change, or a bit higher. Lifetime warranty too.
