Post-up pictures of your pets. Doesn't have to be a canine.

Her name is Annie...These are the pics that were from the website we got her from...We haven't gotten to take any other pics of her because it's been raining lately and we have gone through the take out, clean up, take out, and clean up cycle so much I'm freakin' tired...But she's a fluff ball of a Miniature Australian Shepherd...and she is a shepherd all right...every time I take her out she tries to herd me....ugh...

Here is Walla. In the first pic she is all dressed up because we were visiting relatives.

I recently lost my male dog. He was a very nice dog. Took him to one of the big German Shepherd Dog shows a few years back and he placed 7th.

We trained with the big male (Schutzhund) and really enjoyed it as a family. I've been playing with these dogs for about 14 years now.

Lots of fun, but lots of time/commitment too.

Walla is part of the family and she plays a role in protecting the family.

Thanks, I've been around them for a while. I can't have any of the credit. I didn't even pick the female by structure. Picked her because when she was 5 weeks old she viciously attacked the broom I was sweeping the area with. She has a very high drive much like a working dog.

I did get first pick with the big male and I chose him, but really that was because the breeder is a good one and she helped me pick correctly.

The gsd I had prior to him was exceptional as well, not as much in structure, but in work ethic - but even then an old retired Sgt Major that was the trainer helped me pick.

So - I might be able to pick well now, but previously I've only been good at knowing who to have help me pick.

Great breed - Like so many others

    SgtStrykerUSMC43,

Walla is doing great, thanks for asking.

I was about to get another when I took a new puppy that someone needed to get rid of.

He's half chocolate and half mastiff. He really fits in well and is doing well in training. His name is Bam Bam - he had this name already and I decided it wouldn't be right to change it. The folks kept his sister (Pebbles). He came from a good loving family that couldn't afford to feed him. He can put the food away. They took him for a friend that ended up not taking him like they said they would. The breeder is breeding this mix on purpose.

He's already put on 13lbs since this pic. He's solid muscle and his head is getting wider - more like the mastiff. He looks tough and looks like he's going to train well, but he's really sweet at heart. He loves momma and the kids.

Beautiful canine, and I'm sure Walla was sniffing all over him when he first showed up.

Any idea on how large and heavy he'll be when mature?

    Thanks for sharing.

I really don't know how big he'll get. He's a first generation (I think is how they said it). So mamma was a mastiff and daddy was the chocolate.

He's 46 lbs and right at 6 months old. Temperament is great. Not as work motivated as my shepherd dogs have been, but does what ever I ask.
