My father who is 63 years old had a massive heart attack this morning., we work together running a auto repair shop In CO, I'm not sure what the future holds but I'm freaking out. He is in ICU the doctors are figuring out the best plan for him., trying to stay positive..

I just left the hospital, back at my shop I have to get a few cars finished then I'm going to head back over and see him... really hard to stay focused..
Sorry to hear this. Today, there has been much advancement in heart issues and I hope that your father is going to be fine is that it is nothing major.

Point is that the advancements in heart surgery and analysis has leaped forward over the last 40 years.

Keeping you and your father in our thoughts and prayers...

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Agree with HK SD9 Tactical, they regularly work miracles in cardiac care these days. Try to stay positive and be strong for your Dad.

You, your father and family are in my prayers. HK is correct, what can be done in the cardiac realm today is truly amazing. I would make a few suggestions however, be an advocate have at least one family member present at all times and question everything you don't fully understand. If you have ANY issues with medical staff tending to your father ask to speak to the supervisor immediately it is your right to do so.

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate it! I just got home from the Hospital eating and getting some rest, this was by far the longest day of my life! Very hard to see him laying there in that hospital bed! the surgeon said we are looking at open heart surgery Saturday or Monday, I will keep everyone posted, they let him eat a sandwich and drink some water while i was there, they were taking about putting a balloon pump in him but decide not to, so they let him eat tonight... he is very uncomfortable being there, but that is to be expected..

I cant thank you guys enough! all you guys are like a second family to me here on FNF!
