I read Camping World planned to operate 17 stores and offer all the rest for sale.

No idea store locations or if another chain might take over the remaining store.

I was thrilled when they built a GM close to me as we only had an Academy close and a Bass Pro Shops about 50 minutes away. It turned out to be a nice store and I bought a few things when they were on sale, but for the most part I could buy online elsewhere, pay shipping and still save money.

Their gun prices were crazy high!

This-for me Gander Mountain has been the home of the $3600 17s.

GanderMTN was so out of touch with their competition, the sales reps were poorly trained and the prices were too high it is a wonder the company survived as long as it did. I tried to purchase an on-sale pistol in the past with a trade but what they offered on the trade was a joke. The trade was a new, unfired $3,029 SIG Sauer Master Shop pistol and one store offered me $800 and another only offered $400; the grip of the pistol cost $550. The pistol was a Master Shop out of production custom build made in Germany.

Mesquite and Tyler Texas stores are having 15%off on reloading supplies but gun prices and live ammo were not discounted on the days I visited. I picked up s Hornady progressive press for $384.00.
    Kev thanked this.
