    hot rods

i know we have a thread dedicated to bikes. how about one dedicated to our "hot rods"

    i will start w/ mine.
1998 honda civic hatchback. I have been working on it for about 5 years.
    - Full built B16B - 2.0liter displacement
    - Peak Boost GT3582R top-mount turbocharger system
    - Hondata S300
    - All supporting modifications (i.e. I don't feel like listing the dozens, upon dozens, upon dozens of modifications)

I am currently making 676 wheel horse power, the car is capiable of more power but the tires where spinning on the dyno. I unforanturally don't have the 676 video. but i can offer a dyno graph. can't get the car to hook past 8200rpm here is a few pics.

Unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere Ohio. I did tear up every twistie in a 30 square mile though. Gotta watch that crap around harvest time though The mid engine is the perfect balance in any Auto I have ever driven. Too bad Porche is too much of a pansy to put a bigger engine in it They are afraid nobody would buy their 911s

Hp is really an overated measure. Porsche for one can produce less HP and blow the socks off many cars. Brakes are a crucial ingredient in racing(except 1/4 mile type racing). Torque, weight, Tires, cornering ability... will score you more wins than sheer HP. Just match the top of the line Vette to a wrx or Mitsubishi

im guessing your refering to a zr-1 vet. vs a what evo or sti? if so the zr-1 wins in all aspects. we all know torque wins races, but HP sells cars. the price of a zr-1 you get the best bang for the buck. as far as tracking a car goes.

Put the vette on a twisty track and unless the driver is real good "STIG", The vette will be hardpress to win. The british TV show TOP GEAR already raced it. Like the Viper, too much damn power!! On every damn curve the Vette would break loose and lose it.

Don't get me wrong, I would probably trade my left one for it
