Never thought I'll ever see that on a major network.
"Fight like a man, so you do not have to die like a dog"
If all children were taught those fundamental rules there would be a lot less gun play fatalities by kids who find a firearm, I was taught about them around very early and knew that if I found a firearm it was a tool not a toy.![]()

Wow. The male character makes good points on why proper gun safety should be taught to children. I'm also a bit surprised to see that.

I was around 8 years old when my father gave me the same safety talk and allowed me to hold his firearm.
That took the curious factor out and elevated the respect I have for it.
There were a few times growing up that I asked to hold the firearm and he allowed me to do so, I know he checked if I followed the rules for handling it properly.

"Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition"
Thinly disguised statement that says - "mothers are always right". What the mother was saying - there's another alternative - GET RID of the gun.
And you know what - 90% of females watching will side with the dumbass housewife on that show.
So don't be all teary-eyed that CBS aired this. It was meticulously planned and thought out. You know what they say - keep your friends close .. etc.

I noticed that to. I don't know if that guy was a cop or what, but it sort of seemed that way and that getting rid of the gun was not an option.

I just see it as the network is going to use this in a bad way.
1) Kid shoots himself.
2) Kid shoots some body else.
Thus showing having a "gun" is bad.

Of course I am compensating for something.... If I could kill something at 300 meters with my c*ck I would not need a gun!
