    Hairlesswookiee and Kipp thanked this.
"Never forget, even for an instant, that the one and only reason anybody has for taking your gun away is to make you weaker than he is, so he can do something to you that you wouldn't let him do if you were equipped to prevent it. This goes for burglars, muggers, and rapists, and even more so for policeman, bureaucrats, and politicians."

The thought crossed my mind, but it was hit by a truck when I saw the price tag of the printers.

Hadn't thought of that... the article did say they would become more available shortly. Just like phones computers and everything else electronics related they'll become more common. I guess it's hurry up and wait until then.

Question, is the CNC code for an AR lower from billet in the public domain, or do you have to buy a license for it?

Congressman Says He'll Propose Ban On 3D-Printable Gun Magazines - Forbes
Congressman Says He'll Propose Ban On 3D-Printable Gun Magazines

On Wednesday New York Representative Steve Israel issued a statement on his website promising to include a ban on 3D-printed high-capacity magazines–ammunition-feedings devices that attach to firearms and carry more than ten rounds–in his proposed renewal of the Undetectable Firearms Act. Israel’s statement comes just days after Texas-based Defense Distributed posted showing its demonstration of a 30-round magazine it 3D-printed and tested over the weekend, using it to fire 86 rounds through a semi-automatic rifle.
