I finally figured out what would have helped the news conference today....there is an auction on gunbroker.com for a pair of flintlock dueling pistols .....if the BO and Biden could have used the flintlock pistols to demonstrate the dangers of close range dueling....it might have solved a number of problems in one go....and with weapons that would the founding fathers would have approved of

No, CA is still ok to buy/sell. No additional restrictions (as of yet), standard 10-day cool off period, background check, bullet button, min rifle length and 10 round mags to name the main restrictions...

Overal, Obama's Executive Gun Control Actions aren't as bad as I feared they might have been! Looks like the hard work and petitions paid off!! The fight is far from being over tho!!

Those that think that NO gun control is being advanced: the USA has signed (Hillary) on to the UN Small Arms Treaty which traces guns from their manufacturer to where they are finally owned. This way they (the UN - and of course, the USA govt) will know where every gun comes from and is owned by in the world.

Bush 2 wouldn't sign on to this treaty. Clinton signed on to it as soon as BO was reelected. It is to come up for ratification in the UN in March and then will go to the Senate (for the USA part) to be voted on.

So, when FN sends guns (or parts) to the USA, (then assembled or guns manufacturered) they are then sent to a large distributor, who send them to XYZ firearms store, and then to you: each step is recorded and then finally sent to the United Nations.

If the UN finds out that someone is selling small arms (I don't know the definition they will be using), the country is fined and Un troops sent in to confiscate the weapons. Could be your house! And the country has to pay a fine, too!

think this will violate the 2nd Amendment? Not if the Senate signs on to it: the UN law will over ride any country's laws. In the USA case - the Senate will have authorized it (the Senate has to OK any foreign Treaties).
