SCAR Light and Heavy are under evaluation - French want to replace the FAMAS
FAMAS Gen 2 (or Felin) is compatible with NATO SS109 or F5 ammunitions (7″ Beretta barrel) (See Pic Below from Soldier Systems)

What a F'd up article that was. The Fckn guy is fighting terrorists on the front lines and they give him flack for a Fckn bandana? I don't care if he was wearing a lady gaga costume the dude is taking the fight to the bad guys and deserves respect for it. Instead a **** storm decends upon him for wearing a bandana. What the F kind of lefty liberal douchery is this? I hope his identity wasn't revealed I would hate to see him get administrative punishment for such meaningless gesture. But yes that looks like a FAMAS as stated above.
