It's ugly yet attractive in an odd way. Keep us posted as to cleaning away the gunk to see if the issues go away.

I've been back to the range for another session. I didn't put nearly as many rounds through this time. And, no problems at all. I fired about 75 Gold Dot .357 Magnums through it.

And, while I could certainly feel a difference between .38-spl and .357-mag, I can say that I could shoot .357s through this revolver all day long and be comfortable. The Rhino snubbie handles the .357 recoil very well. In fact, I'd say firing the .357s through the Rhino was MUCH more comfortable than firing .38-spl through the S&W 642 Airweight.

As I said before... about 20 round of .38 through the Airweight is as much as I can stand. Feels like someone smacking my hand with a plank of wood.

But, .357 through the Rhino snubbie? Piece-o-cake! A loud report and nice fireball. But, recoil? Very tolerable. Even better than my Glock 27 (.40-cal).

Thanks for the review and this is not the first revolver with the barrel at a low fulcrum point but it seems to be more tolerant today and more welcomed, Like the KRISS the prototype had the barrel very low. I wonder how long before we see a big manufacture produce one?

Would love to see the likes of Smith & Wesson produce one.

Racer, thank you for all the great info and range report on the Rhino. Yet to see one in the "wild" but I will def keep checking my LGS for the chance to handle one. How do you fell about using it as primary CCW or a backup. Do you feel it would be a good gun for the ladies? Thinking my wife might like one. Again thank you.

While I normally carry a G27 along with a spare magazine, I'd feel completely comfortable with the Rhino as a primary CCW. I think it could be a good one for ladies, as well, with the reduced felt recoil. Chiappa also has a smaller grip you can get for it. It comes standard with the "medium" grip.

You may have given me my best excuse for getting one. My wife carries a SW 649-3. An extra round and reduced recoil...let the selling begin. Of course, I have no interest in it...heavens no.

Wife and I are going to our CC class in a few weeks and I was just going to have her use my FNX-9, but the recoil still bothers her. She does two three magazines and she is done. And they said she can't use her P22 (granted not the best self defense gun but better then nothing) and she does get all ten rounds in the head at ten yards. Anyway maybe we will get lucky and they will have a Rhino for rent that she can use. Like you akitainu I have no interest in this gun... That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

What ammunition is she using in the 9mm? She may feel more comfortable using a different load as the felt recoil may be sharply reduced.

A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
