My order just went in for an STI Lawman in brown/tan, so keep posting pictures so that I have something to look forward too.

    Here's 2 of my 5 colts. I've also got a 1916 US Army, a 1918 Army Black, and a restored 1917 commercial.

    Wow.

You like your nighthawks, don't you?

That's a lot of money in those guns. I need a 1911. Planning on getting one this summer

    djv38,

Frankly I have two of them left and got rid of the others. I prefer Wilson Combat and Volkmann Custom. NHC just doesn't put the care and time into doing things right the first time, I have had to return each I have owned at least twice to get things corrected that should not have left the factory the way they did. NHC never has enough time to do it right the first time but always enough time to do it again. Just my experince.

Wilson Combat I have 3, all done right the 1st time with out issue or concern.

Volkmann Custom, done right and frankly don't think you can buy a better 1911 right now.

    Just my 2 cents.

Never heard of Volkmann. How much do they run? I may have to look into them...

http://www.volkmanncustom.com/ here is the link to the site. They are about the same as NHC or Wilson, the difference is that these are built one at a time by one guy and you can order pretty much whatever you want.

Here is a shortcut to an article from the m1911.org.
