I was so used to putting rounds thru my Beretta 92s that the recoil of the gun was very noticeable. That is the only gripe I can say, and I hear it from others. For a 9mm, the P99 has a lot of recoil compared to other 9mms. I then checked the sights on a Ruger P95 beater gun I have, and I'd swear that the super cheap Ruger had about 30-40% less felt recoil than the P99. That kinda of did it for me... I was already losing interest in the P99. I sold it a few days later. I used the cash to buy my 4th Beretta 92 variant
I have an HK P2000 9mm, and while I don't shoot it much because I got the Beretta bug, it has less recoil than the P99 and is very accurate.
