    recoating 5.7x28

    I have read were some people have re laquered there brass and I have also read were some people say they are no longer usable. I myself have been pondering anodizing and was wondering if anyone has tried it? let me know what you guys think.

    definately would help the friction issue, but realize at the cost per piece for anodizing, you would be putting yourself in a huge financial loss. Clean it per the instructions out there, and you should get 4-6 reloadings out of one piece of brass.

    I am mainly curious as I planning to procure an anodizing kit for other projects of mine. From what I understand you can anodize brass, but I need to read up to see if the chemicals are the same to etch the metal prior to clearing them.

    IMO you'd be wasting your time and adding an expense of safety concern. Liike I said you're going to get 4-6 reloadings out of the case if you're lucky. Clean them with the proper solution, and you won't have to worry about the coating for the useful life of the brass.
