    nylon vs. leather

What are the pros and cons of nylon and leather holsters? What is the big difference? Both of these companies look good. Why do people seem to prefer leather holsters?

Well, from what I understand leather can hold/retain moisture and so you generally don't want to store a gun in a leather holster. Nylon doesn't usually provide as good of a fit or form to your firearm as leather.

Nylon isnt really a custom fit. Kind of like wearing cheap underwear...... it fits....... but doesnt hold everything as nice as the more expensive stuff.

You get what you pay for

I also like how leather and my leather/kydex holster holds its shape so you can reholster easier.

Leather all day! You get what you pay for! I love Galco for concealed carry. I carry everyday, I have had a Galco combat master' for 5 years now, not one problem.

Either will work but I think leather holds up better for everyday use.I prefer leather for everyday use but for hunting, camping or hiking I like to use nylon,if it gets wet it wont be harmed, just air dry it.IMHO you should not store your weapon in a holster of any kind, the idea of moisture collecting gives me the shivers.
