I love shooting this out of my SCAR 17 but just heard that it speeds up barrel wear due to the nickel plating. Any truth to this? I hope not.
The only place I've ever heard that little bit of info was here. It might be true, but generally speaking, DAG is considered some of the best surplus out there. I've never had a problem with it, and doubt I will. By the time I'm worried about my barrel being worn out, FN should probably have released replacement barrels.

isnt the scar chrome lined anyway? chrome is way harder than nickle.
Most people that I know who actually know what they are talking about say its no worse than any other bi metal jacket round just like our LC.....I wouldn't sweat it.
