    To answer the question, to my knowledge there isn't an 7.62 M855 equivalent. Mostly because like the requirement for M855, the need isn't there. M855 may have a small penetrator in it, but it is not an armor piercing round, nor will it offer amazing penetrating abilities over regular 5.56 rounds. Other than the already mentioned MK 319 Mod 0, your best bet is to either stick with regular ball ammo, or find some honest-to-goodness AP rounds.
