New and improved, or just another round?
Looks like it should penetrate well.
Thoughts, please dont hold back.

Of course I am compensating for something.... If I could kill something at 300 meters with my c*ck I would not need a gun!
Some have said it's dirty than shit..
I read through all the ambiguous jargon and gather that it has better penetration against 3/8" "steel". How that "+" turns out to be a "-" on soft targets... I dunno.
I take it the Taliban wears steel armor so that's why this round was developed and adopted. If that's the case, then it makes sense to me...
If not, then I think the RIGHT palm got greased liberally, as in the case with the HK mag fed toy replacing the M249.

It was my understanding that this round was developed so that the troops could shoot through the mud bungalows and walls that the insurgents hide behind as the M855 was piss poor at penetration in these types of materials, among other things.Originally Posted by SgtStrykerUSMC43

Gee, I wonder if the Secretary will also classify this as non AP ammo even though it is. :P![]()
The copper cup, from which the jacket is formed, is reverse-drawn, the opposite of how the M855 jacket is drawn. The hardened steel penetrator is almost twice as heavy as the one used in the M855 and is fully exposed instead of hiding beneath the softer copper jacket.

A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
many lead slugs will penetrate IIIA armor... They aren't armor piercing because they don't technically pierce the armor. They just have so much energy, the armor cannot stop it.

I've heard a mix of good a bad and most of it is contradictory. Inaccurate, dirty, ineffective against soft targets, with a different ballistic path that makes the BDC on ACOGs pointless on one side, and effective, accurate, and hard hitting on the other. I'm waiting until I can try out some on my own, or somebody besides the Army or ATK does a ballistic test. Mk 318 MOD 0 until then for my 16S.
