Help On 1st Bulk 5.56 Buy For My SCAR 16

I'm trying to get a little quantity going here finally for range shooting and have a question about which of these 2 deals of 5.56x45 ammo from Midway is best for my SCAR 16. I understand the 55gr is just basic, however, these two rnds are both 62gr with slightly different ballistics. Would this make a difference? Also, one comes in 10 round clips in an ammo can, if that mean's anything. Pretty close in per rnd price too. Or, if they're any other thoughts on any others . . .

Federal American Eagle Ammo 5.56x45mm NATO 62 Grain XM855 Penetrator Full Metal Jacket

Lake City Ammo 5.56x45mm NATO 62 Grain XM855 Full Metal Jacket 10 Round Clips Ammo Can of 420 (14 Boxes of 30)
You don't understand how serious this is . . . they killed my dog!

The 10 round clips refer to 'stripper clips'. Those are ten rounds aligned and sitting on a strip that can be speed fed into the magazine.

Check out this place as well.

A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.

I'm personally partial to this deal for M855:
Widener's Reloading and Shooting Supply INC

    Just ordered three cases.
    Buffman thanked this.

Make sure your range is cool with M855, there are quite a few that won't let you shoot it for various good and stupid reasons.

Yeah, I wouldn't shoot steel with it unless you don't mind potentially damaging it.

The IMI is the least expensive M855 out there, best shipping is 2 cases per order to dodge UPS's rate increase beyond 70 lbs.

Note that the tips are NOT painted green the way the LC/Federal/PMC XTac stuff are painted, so make sure you keep your stashes labeled if your range cares about such stuff.

I only have the M193 from IMI but it's great. It also packs 1110 per .50 can still boxed, while the other brands only pack about 840 to a can since they used 20rd boxes. =P

If I can make a recommendation, you should buy your ammo at Dunhams sports. Not sure if they have them by you (they are pretty hard to find here in Indy). But, they sell American Eagle brass 55 grain fmj for $35 per 100 and they are sometimes on sale for $32 per 100. I have been hard pressed to find a better deal.
