I've run into problems finding lead rounds too for use at the indoor range in town. They told me that lead rounds or rounds with only the electrochemically coated lead rounds are allowed at the range since that type has only a very thin coating of copper plating. It is supposed be better than straight lead since there's less of a chance of lead fouling in the barrel. The sporting good store I've talked to doesn't carry it regularly and won't order it since it doesn't sell. Does anyone know the proper name of this type of ammunition or where to get this type of ammunition I'm talking about?
Welcome to FNForum. You are talking about LeadSafe rounds. There are lead but with a very thin copper coating. Ranier makes some of these bullets.

As you did not specify the caliber, it's hard to find what you are looking for.

A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
Another product is Berry's Preferred Plated Bullets, Berry's Manufacturing. I have not used this product. I have used the Rainer TCJ bullets and they make great target loads. Watch for porting fouling on ported barrels with soft lead bullets and FMJ. If you have a Polygonal barrel and you are going to shoot lead bullets use only hard cast.*,**
