Ammo Price Increase and Next Ammo Shortage
I do hate to say this, but I have been advised that ammo is going to increase in price across the board, anywhere from 5% to 30% depending on caliber and manufacturer.
This heads up came from my favorite gun dealer AND my favorite ammo dealer. I have all I need but they were recommending buying what is already in inventory....
Reasons why --- 2012 election year, 2012 doomsday preppers, raw materials cost increases, record gun sales fueling ammo buying, and regular old first-of-year increases....

Well, with the election at the end of the year, I'm would expect it to go up right before the election (month or two) and stay up depending on the outcome. That said, I have either gotten a couple cases of ammo or will that will last me long enough.

Respectfully and honestly, I do not view this as a rumor -- it is real -- prices have already been increased noticeably. And I am not sounding an alarm here...just giving words to the wise....

Well, Given the source now that I figured out who your CEO Friend is, I believe this may be the case, at least in the short term. Hopefully the manufacturers will step up production to keep prices from going too high.
